Sport Themed Wedding Table Plans

Hello, and welcome back to my blog on wedding table plan design.  Last time I featured Football themed wedding table plans so it seems natural to showcase a handful of designs we have created for other sporting themes.  Each design is tailored to suit wedding colours and styling, and personalised to suit each couple.

Not only do our wedding table plans create the WOW factor at the Wedding Breakfast but they double up perfectly as a keepsake of the big day.

RUGBY
One of my favourite sport designs was this Bath Rugby themed table plan. Ali contacted me wanting to surprise her husband-to-be by having a table plan designed incorporating their local Rugby team, Bath, of which they are both avid supporters.  Ali sourced the background image she wanted on the plan and we researched the Bath Rugby team obtaining the logo, player images and statistics.  The statistics were used on the table name cards creating a real focal point - almost a 'Top Trumps' scenario!

Other stationery such as menus and the guest name cards were also designed in the Bath Rugby team colours.  It is a really striking design using the cobalt blue and black from the players sports kit.

I had the loveliest call from Ali when she rang me after receiving the order in tears of joy saying how perfect it was and how it would really make their day special.
Here is the feedback I received from Ali after she received the first draft of the design:
Jane, you have made me cry!!! These are incredible!! I couldn't have wished for anything better!! Tom is over the moon, you have made our wedding reception look amazing!! Cannot thank you enough.

FORMULA 1
Formula 1 is almost on a level with football in terms of popularity so we have uploaded various styles to the website to accommodate different styling requests.  The framed photo plan below is a customised size to accommodate the large wedding party, the title is hand finished with mirrored silver vinyl and silver border inlay applied. The groom wanted the tables to be named after teams so we sourced an image of each team car displayed on the table plan and table name cards.  The end result was stunning, and a great focal point at the Wedding Breakfast.

Amy's Testimonial  ' Hi Jane, It has arrived and its wonderful thank you!! It looks fantastic and we are so pleased!
I will be sure to recommend you to all my bride to be friends. Thank you Amy :) x

THE OLYMPICS
I loved putting this table plan design for this couple last year just as Olympics fever was hitting the UK.  Each table named after medal winning athletes with photos of athletes displayed on the table plan and the table name cards.  The name cards had a different design on each side as the venue needed the cards to display the table number for catering reasons yet the bride wanted to continue the theme through so on one side was the table number and statistics of the athlete assigned to that table and on the reverse their name and photo to compliment the styling on the table plan.  It was a really colourful design which was again framed and hand finished with the mirrored silver title and edging.  A couple who went to this wedding have since been in touch for us to design a cycling themed table plan for their wedding in May as they loved the styling!

Testimonial from the customer:
' Hi Jane, It has arrived and its wonderful thank you!! It looks fantastic and we are so pleased! I will be sure to recommend you to all my bride to be friends. Thank you Amy :) x

SKIING
This plan was designed for skiing fanatics Charlotte and Paul featuring their favourite ski resorts. With a simple pale cream background to match the couples wedding colour and the 'Wedding Breakfast' title hand finished in mirrored gold and gold border the plan tied in perfectly with the couples cream and gold wedding colours. (The orange title is for visual purposes only as the title is applied by hand after the plan has been laminated and mounted to board).

AMERICAN FOOTBALL
How much fun is this table plan!  Graham contacted with the simple brief to design a table plan with coordinating guest name cards and table name cards in the theme of American football integrating the helmets adorned with team logos as the table names.  I sourced a simple American football pitch and made the green a rich green so that the white tables displaying the helmets stood out.  Each guest name card had the helmet of the team of the table that guest was sitting on to tie the whole theme together. All in all a colourful design that doubles up as an amazing keepsake!

So...be creative with your wedding seating plan.
There are no rules.
Have fun and make it memorable.

Football Wedding Table Plans

Just a handful of orders I have been working on this week
 Hello!
The week has flown by again. Welcome to "Feature Friday"  - as the weather is far from Sping-like I have decided to feature FOOTBALL as the theme to this weeks wedding table plans.  It is more often than not the grooms choice of Wedding Breakfast theme - a chance for the groom to have his 'stamp' on the Big Day.  Next week I'll be featuring other Sport themed wedding table plan ideas we have designed including Formula 1, Track Days, Olympics, Skiing, Rugby and American Football.

The design below was created for Caroline and Ryann. Caroline is an Arsenal fan, and her fiance, Ryan, a Manchester United fanatic and they both wanted a wedding table plan to reflect their rivalry for both football teams.  The design was kept simple and classic, naming the tables after favourite players both past and present and including images of these players which were used on the table plan as well as the table name cards.  The tables were set in the formation of a team reflecting their actual table layout.

Arsenal v Manchester Wedding Table Plan Design

The couple wanted 'Top Table' to be the Management team so Caroline asked her Top Table guests to send her photographs of themselves with arms crossed to use on the plan.  Adding photographs to the table plan is not only a wonderful way to really personalise your wedding seating plan but it also creates the perfect keepsake.

Caroline and Ryann also asked us to put together an AO memory board to display on the easel at the Evening Reception. Caroline emailed me the photos and I edited each one to ensure they were bright enough and decent quality, and set them out in the centre of the board with a space left in the middle for a photo of the couples wedding day to be added later.  A large border was left around the edge so that guests could write a message to the newly weds - a modern adaptation of the Guest Book! The perfect keepsake.

Caroline's Testimonial:
Hi Jane, You beat me to it. We are absolutely thrilled with both the table plan and the memory board. We were feeling guilty about overspending on our budget in order to get these done, but when they arrived today, they are worth every penny! The table plan is so unique to us and its really great quality and will be remembered by everyone. And the memory board is amazing and its massive, and i think its very much like us both, a bit larger than life..! and will be a real centre piece for our wedding. Thanks once again for all your help and support, and for your good wishes. I would definately recommend you to other brides to be. All the best Caroline and Ryann"

There are many ways to add the football theme to your table plan and the best way to illustrate them is to show you past orders and brand new designs.  All available on the website www.weddingtableplans.com

Chelsea Table: An image of the stadium is used as the backdrop and the tables set blue specified by the couple to match their flowers. The subtle use of the Chelsea logo added for interest.

Simple Liverpool FC design complete with matching Liverpool FC stationery. The tables are in the shape of Football shirts and its all about the Club logo on this design.

Paul is a keen Arsenal supporter and was keen to have football feature at the wedding but Steph wasn't keen for the 'full on' football theme.  The photo plan is a great compromise with images of the happy couple together, and the subtle football element is naming the tables after Arsenal players.

A SKY Sports styled table plan available for any team with the fabulous personalisation on the table stationery.  A simple design which is a real favourite with all football fans!

A5 table name card which is personalised with your wedding details!

A5 Menus - personalised in the Sky Sports theme

Keep safe in this bad weather and I look forward to sharing alternative sport themed table plan ideas next week.

Feature Friday: Wedding Cakes and Champagne!

Hello again and welcome to
"Feature Friday" !

I was originally going to call this regular blog 'Floral Friday' but decided at the last moment to change it to 'Feature Friday'  so that I could showcase a range of wedding products to illustrate how our table plans compliment wedding themes.  And I am glad I did because today I have a beautiful wedding cake to share with you by Vicki at 'The Cake Whisk'
I totally love the ruffle texture and colour blending, its so pretty and would be beautiful for a vintage wedding!

Beautiful, double-barrelled stacked wedding cake (this means that it looks like 2 tiers but its 4 actual cakes inside) made with purple ombré effect ruffles, graduating in colour  from pale to deep purple, completed with handmade sugar hydrangea flowers
– made to be kept as a keepsake.
To see more of Vicki's gorgeous cake designs visit:
http://www.thecakewhisk.co.uk

To compliment the styling of the cake featured above I have chosen a vintage design which I have altered to blend with the colourings of this wedding. We offer a complimentary colour matching service on all of our wedding table plans.  The plan itself is an impressive A1 in size and features the well known quote 'Time to drink champagne and dance on the table' although I'm not sure what the wedding venue would think of this instruction!

This design is personalised with the bride and grooms name and date within
the 'Just Married' stamp on the design.

The personalisation is reiterated on the striking A5 double sided table name cards....

....and the guest name cards
(9cm x 6cm folded to 9cm x 3cm)

A5 menus - an optional extra.  Designed to blend in with the table plan styling.

Thank you to Vicki at The Cake Whisk
for being part of 'Feature Friday!'
Do pop over to Vicki's website to see more samples of her work. Not only do Vicki's cakes look good but I can vouch that they are delicious too... :-)

Wishing you all a wonderful Mother's Day Weekend!

Feature Friday: Cream Rose

 "FEATURE FRIDAY"
weddingtableplans.com

Welcome to "Feature Friday" where I hope to inspire you with more creative ideas as to how you can create or add to your theme at your Wedding Breakfast with your wedding table plan and table stationery.

Today I would like to illustrate how our Floral table plans can be used to compliment your wedding flowers, and to help me do this Marion Cottis from Poppies Designer Flowers has kindly supplied a photograph of a beautiful hand tied bouquet in green and white which is absolutely on trend for 2013.

Hand Tied Bouquet of Ivory ‘Avalanche’ Roses, Cream ‘Vendela’ Roses, Green ‘Wimbledon’ White Freesias, Wax Flower, Variegated Pittosporum and Eucalyptus foliage http://www.poppiesdesignerflowers.co.uk

To complement the colourings of this gorgeous bouquet I have selected our most popular Floral table plan, the Classic Cream Rose. Popular because of its simple, classic styling and neutral colour tones.

The plan is an impressive A1 size and you can choose whether to name your tables either as traditional numbers or in a theme of your choice.  Naming your tables after a theme of your choice is a great way to add a subtle personal theme to your Wedding Breakfast.

This plan was hand finished with a silver mirrored vinyl title and border inlay.

Feature Friday

Hello and welcome to my very first
 "FEATURE FRIDAY"
weddingtableplans.com

The whole idea behind "Feature Friday" is to provide brides and grooms with inspiration for wedding planning and illustrate how our fabulous wedding table plan designs can compliment the complete wedding theme.  To help me do this I will be hand picking a wedding supplier each week to share with us photographs of their favourite/most popular product and in turn I will showcase one of our table plan designs to tone in with the colouring and styling of their featured product.

This week I am delighted to introduce
with one of many of her favourite commissions of 2012.
Just lovely...

This was an early August wedding with a brief of "just picked country garden style".    To go with pale blue bridesmaids dresses the bride carried a natural handtied bouquet of pale blue hydranga, white avalanche roses, white astrantia, lilac sweet peas, nigella, gentiana, echinops thalaspi and grey blue eucalpyus
The table centres were large fish bowls filled with arrangements of the wedding flowers and pale blue midilino sticks coiled round inside.
See more of Corrine's talented creations at:

I totally love this "just picked country styling' and have designed this BRAND NEW wedding table plan design which I hope you will agree is just perfect for this relaxed styling.  AND what better way to showcase the design than on our first "Feature Friday" Page!
(This new design will be listed on our website in the next couple of days)

The table plan is an impressive A1 in size with the tables named after words related to 'Love' - these can be customised to suit your preference.  And of course, like all our designs we are able to alter the colourings to perfectly match your wedding!

Combine with coordinating table stationery - P.E.R.F.E.C.T.

I hope you have enjoyed the feature. Thank you so much to Corrine for being part of our first 'Feature Friday'!  I'll do my best to post weekly but if I miss a Friday due to workload I am sure to make it up to you another day in the week, so do follow me for more wedding table plan inspiration!

Have a great weekend, Jane x

Emerald Green Wedding

"Lively...Radiant...Lush...Vivid...Verdant Green"

EMERALD GREEN

The colour Pantone have forecast for 2013

Kate Middleton on trend

As you may know Pantone have forecast that Emerald Green as
THE colour to mark 2013, declaring this rich hue,
"enhances our sense of well-being further by inspiring insight,
as well as promoting balance and harmony."

Whether this will be the trend for weddings we will have to wait and see over the course of 2013.

It may well be the colour on the catwalks but it won't of course be the dress to grace the aisles if you are superstitious.  However, how lovely would it be to inject this appealing tone into your Wedding Reception?  I have altered some of my popular illustrative wedding table plan designs and wedding stationery to suit the Emerald Green colourings displayed in a mood board below.  I hope you are inspired.

Let it Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

Hello!  Meet Fred the Snowman.  Thank goodness it's snowing again so Fred will survive another day!

Seeing how it continues to snow here in Lytham it feels the perfect moment to share with you this contemporary winter wonderland wedding table plan designed for Sam and Simeon a few weeks back.

http://weddingtableplans.com/Contemporary?product_id=361

We love the simplicity of this design contrasted with the strength of the Teal blue.  It was printed at an impressive A1 size and hand finished with subtle swarovski crystals within the snowflakes on the tree to add winter sparkle.  Oh sooooo pretty!  Colours can be altered to suit you wedding theme.

I look forward to sharing ideas with you next week into how to inject Emerald Green into your Wedding Reception as Pantone have revealed this is THE colour of 2013.

Happy Friday!
